Motivational Monday “Acknowledge Then Choose”

Great Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. Happy Monday! God has afforded us another opportunity to be better than we were yesterday, a week ago, even a year ago. I pray you’ve purposed in your mind to spend your time living intentionally and with purpose throughout the coming week. How was your Resurrection Sunday? Did you go to church or spend time with your family? If you checked out the video from my blog yesterday I challenged you to resurrect your self-worth. The post before I spoke about “It’s Always Been You” which serves as a foundation to understanding you alone are reason enough to become the best version of yourself.

In efforts of starting your week off with perspective, I recorded audio which I pray will inspire, encourage, and bring about a sense of correction in your current headspace. So often we participate in our emotions. Whether happy, sad, angry, passionate, or overwhelmed. Some of us suppress or overlook those feelings focusing on the task ahead versus our mental state. Some of us have vices to “deal” with the unresolved hurts and pains life has distributed. Then some of us indulge in the emotions and all the effects they spew out at us. I wanted to be the person who tells you, “acknowledge how you’re feeling.” We have to stop ignoring our emotions. Check out the audio below to find out how I am able to acknowledge my emotions without giving them free rein to run rampant in my life. Blessings.

“Acknowledge then Choose”

So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh.  For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other so that you are not to do whatever you want. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and debauchery;
idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions, and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Against such things, there is no law. Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit. Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

Galatians 5:16-26

Happy Resurrection Sunday

Good Evening my brother’s and sister’s in Christ. It’s Resurrection Sunday. I wanted to bring you a mindful moment video for today’s post. As you are celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ think about all the things needed to be resurrected in your own life. Blessings.

It’s Always Been You!

Good Morning my brother’s and sister’s in Christ. We’re halfway through the week. I pray you’ve spent your time living intentionally and with purpose. I wanted to bring you a “Mindful Moment” today. As always, I hope it inspires you and causes you to self-reflect. Feel free to apply where necessary in your own life. Blessings!

In my journey to operating at my highest level of self, I’ve noticed all the channels created to lower my standard of greatness. All around me are mindsets, structures, and people who diminish my understanding of self-worth. Employers provide the amount they feel your position is worth. Family and friends provide insight from the level they’re at themselves. If they have no vision how can they encourage you to soar above your limitations? All my life I was taught things, people, and financial status determined my level of greatness. Now I realize those things have nothing to do with it at all.

When I think about reaching my highest level of self. I think about arriving, understanding, applying, and operating in the fullness of who God created me to be. When I grow in my relationship with God I grow in the discovery of me. Simply put, the more I find God the more I find myself. The first person to know how much we’re worth is Jesus. He is the one who established the best version of us. So our direction, and inspiration needs to come from Him. We won’t find our peace in things or people. Our self-worth can’t be obtained from money. The security we truly desire isn’t provided in our employers. All the things surrounding us are necessary to live but aren’t necessary to have life.

So how do we create an atmosphere of life? We ask Jesus to introduce it to us. We ask Him to show us where we need to place true value. To reveal to us what He had in mind when He formed us in our Mother’s womb. To put to death our old mindsets and concepts of self-elevation. We ask Him to show us how to love ourselves the way He loves us. To teach us how to find everything we’re searching for in Him which ultimately means we find it within ourselves. As we change inwardly we begin to shift our very atmosphere. Instead of praying for God to change our lives we become the change we’re looking for.

I want all of God’s people to get out of our heads and into our lives. The life which is given to us by Jesus Christ. There are so many of us who have chosen to live on a level less than what God had in mind. Searching for happiness and worth in things, people, and finances. Still feeling empty when we’ve acquired them. Understand this, “I create the correct conditions for prosperity. God has given me the mental capacity to invent opportunities for happiness, peace, and wealth for myself. The love I always searched for I found in God. My identity was found in God. My ability to operate at my highest level of self was found in God. God has already given me exactly what I need to become everything He intended me to be. I will NOT be anything less than what was intended.” This is how I speak to myself every day. I am training who I was to become who I am.

My brother’s and sister’s in Christ you are more than you realize. You’re more than the world perceives you to be. You have more greatness placed on the inside of you than you’re aware of. The person God intended you to be will transform your lineage. It will impact the multitude. It surpasses everything and everyone you have ever met. You have to believe it for yourself. Get to know it for yourself. Then become it for yourself. It’s time to level up internally. You are all the reason you need to transform your life. This isn’t about anyone else. It’s about you. It’s time you start doing it for you. Blessings.

Whose Your Greatest Competition?

Good Evening my brother’s and sister’s in Christ. We’ve made it through the week. Glory be to God. It’s Self-Care Sunday here on Mindful of Me Moments. This past week I’ve been flooded with so many revelations from the Holy Spirit. I was inspired to share one of those revelations with you for my Self-Care Sunday post. As always I pray it encourages you and causes you to self-reflect as needed. Blessings.

“Your only competition is yourself!” How many of you have heard this quote before? It wasn’t until recently I was able to interpret this quote differently. Instead of taking you on a journey of my discovery I’m going to dive right into what the Lord shared me with. He said, “Your only competition is yourself because you are in a constant state of competing with your thoughts.” Our thoughts are what cause us to be fearful. Our thoughts tell us they won’t choose us for the job. Our thoughts tell us no one will read the book we aspire to write. Our thoughts will tell us to quit our pursuit because we’ll never reach our goals. It’s our thoughts that we compete with way before we compete with another person. The enemy places doubt in our mind which in some cases is what stops us from pursuing our purpose.

It’s our thoughts where we find our greatest competition. If you’ve ever talked yourself out of an opportunity then you’ve lost the battle with your thoughts. So how do we win against our competitor?

The word of God says,

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”

Romans 12:2

How do we renew our mind? We get in God’s word. When you find yourself fearful or doubtful you counterbalance it with the word. “God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind.” This tells me that whenever the enemy attacks our thoughts we are equipped. We have the power over whatever it is he’s saying. We don’t have to fear what we love. Our minds should not be frantic because the word says it’s of sound.

Mindful Moment: In the greek “sound mind” has a two-part meaning. The compound word is “Sophroneo” which is sodzo and phroneo together. Sodzo means to be delivered. Phroneo means a person’s total frame of thinking. God is literally saying in his word despite what we’ve been through, what we face, and what we hear. OUR MINDS HAVE ALREADY BEEN DELIVERED. So stop going around saying you’re crazy, you can’t make it, something has to give. The word of God says, your mind has already been delivered. Don’t allow the enemy to take you places in the mind you’ve been delivered from.

We have to understand there’s nothing in the world we can’t obtain. Our ability to make a mark in our chosen industry has nothing to do with how over saturated it may be. Our thoughts will limit our reach every time if we allow it. I encourage you to adapt the mentality I have when my thoughts are competing with me. I simply remind the enemy, “You won’t outwork me. You’re not my competition. I’ve already won. You’re under my feet. I have dominion over you. My mind is sound. It’s already been delivered. Not even you can get in the way of my pursuit to my purpose.”

Fill yourselves with God’s word. Find those scriptures that counteract what your thoughts are saying. Remember, people of God. We aren’t competing with others. We’re competing with our thoughts. Blessings.

God Gave Us An Opportunity

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. The Lord has blessed us to see another week. I pray you choose to spend your time living intentionally and with purpose. This morning while I was in prayer the Holy Spirit brought the word “Opportunity” to me. This is my first day back at the office and typically I’m not thrilled about heading into work. Some of you may know I’m transitioning into a full-time entrepreneur in Jesus name. Until it happens I still have a 9-5 job. As I was getting ready to leave the house I kept hearing the word “Opportunity.” I thought what are you trying to tell me, Jesus? What opportunity?

The Holy Spirit said, “Everyday you wake up you have an opportunity. An opportunity to be better than yesterday. An opportunity to go after your goals. An opportunity to grow. An opportunity to walk in your healing. An opportunity to fulfill the purpose God has given you.” Glory be to the Highest. How many times have you crawled out the bed, dreading the day ahead of you? I know I have many times. God is telling us we ought to wake up excited about the OPPORTUNITY we are given every day.

Opportunity means we still have time. We can get it right. We can overcome. It means God still has plans for us. People of God. We woke up with an amazing gift. Opportunity.

Today I urge you to remember this, it’s easy to miss opportunity when we’re focused on adversity. It’s time to shift our perspective. Blessings.

“Be very careful, then, how you live not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is.”

Ephesians 5:15-17

Who’s Your Purpose Partner?

Hello, my brothers and sisters in Christ. We’ve made it to the end of the week. I pray you’ve spent your time living intentionally and with purpose. It’s a very special day for me. March 8th is my Wedding Anniversary. (Insert Confetti) It’s also the day that my husband and I met almost a decade ago. Being involved with someone for 11 years you tend to learn a few things. Through the ups, downs, wins, growing pains, healing, and BLESSINGS. I’m pleased to say we’re still going. More in love than before. Continually transforming into who God called us to be for each other every day. For this blog post I’m going to share an important concept when it comes to marriage. “Purpose Partnership” I know for a fact my husband is my Purpose Partner placed in my life by Jesus Christ. I pray that our story encourages those who believe God has placed someone in your life for Purpose. Blessings.

I met my husband (Nolan) March 2008. He took it upon himself to slide into my DMs on Black Planet. Lol. Some of you may remember this old dating site. I would like to say we had an instant spark, but we didn’t. The first month was a little sketchy. Getting in touch with him was hit or miss. At the time I was out of state with one of my mentors. Once I returned to Chicago we finally met. Our first encounter I made him breakfast. Eggs, pancakes, and bacon. It’s safe to say he enjoyed the food, because shortly after we started dating.

We would spend the next year inseparable. During that time a prophet spoke to us. She told Nolan God said, “You’re her future.” A few months after that prophetic word we broke up. I moved out of state with my family. We kept in contact. Spent the next several years as an “on again off again” couple. We held onto what the prophet told us, but never took the time to grow in God enough to see the manifestation of the words he spoke to us. How many times have you let what God spoke to you lay at the wayside, because it didn’t fit into your timeline? By November 2014 we were back “on.” I flew home to Chicago from Houston to see Nolan for the holidays. When I left to return to Houston he left with me. By March 2015, we were married.

I always knew I loved my husband in a way that I never loved anyone else. I couldn’t explain it. I just did. When we met all those years ago I was fresh out of a relationship that left me feeling unable to love. Then I met Nolan. He made me do what I thought I couldn’t do anymore. Open my heart. Even though we were involved for so many years we didn’t really know each other. If I’m to be honest we didn’t know ourselves. We were two people who always wanted to be together, but operated in generational curses, and mindsets. Like many other married couples, we had our growing pains. Two halves trying to be a whole instead of being a whole individually before we got married. Those pains hurt, but they didn’t break us. What they did do was cause us to seek help from the one who told Nolan, “You’re her future.” God!

By March 2018, we decided to give our lives to God. It also kicked off the discovery of our “Purpose Partnership.” A Purpose Partner is not something that you can Google for a definition. What I believe it to be is a person placed in your life that is directly connected to your God-Given Purpose. They’re CALLED to support, cultivate, and protect the seed that God has put inside of you. My husband is my “Purpose Partner.” When we gave our lives and marriage to God we were able to finally see the beauty of each other through the eyes of Jesus Christ. We gained clarity in our individual purpose and marriage. We grew in our knowledge of God and who He made us to be. One of the most important things we learned was how to be who we needed each other to be. My husband needed things from me that I wasn’t aware of until I grew in God. There were things that I needed from him that he wasn’t aware of until he grew in God. We both desired different things and we couldn’t obtain them the same way. God taught us how to be there for each other in a way we both could interpret.

Who’s your Purpose Partner? Has God called someone to support, cultivate, and protect the seed that He placed inside of you? Are you someone’s Purpose Partner? Are you being who God called you to be in their life? I had to pray for direction from the Lord about being my husband’s Purpose Partner. He gave me understanding about my role. I moved out of the way to let God be God in Nolan’s life. I don’t impose my timeline on God’s timeline in my husband’s relationship with Christ. I support whatever he desires to do. For instance, my husband wanted to learn to play the guitar around Christmas. I bought him 2 guitars. God provided the 3rd from another source. He’s working on starting a Financial Repair Company. I found courses for him to obtain his certifications and paid for them. Now he’s certified. I’m his Purpose Partner. I’m who God called me to be in his life.

To the man who is MY FUTURE. You’re everything I needed. You help grow me every day. God trusted you to care, love, and protect his daughter. He’s pleased with you. Thank you for exposing me to a life filled with kindness, compassion, trust, forgiveness, purpose, and love. Every moment with you is intentional. I will forever choose you. You lead me as God leads you. I love and thank you for a wonderful 4 years as Mrs. Nolan. I will forever be your helpmate.

Love,

Your Purpose Partner

Happy 4 Year Anniversary Honey.

Relationship Goals

Good Afternoon my brothers and sisters in Christ. We have entered into a new week. I pray you have purposed in your mind to spend your week living intentionally and with purpose. I’m a day late for Spirit Care Sunday. Technical difficulties, Lol. I posted this short 1-minute reminder on my business Instagram page and desired to share it with my blog family.

One of the books I’m currently writing is all about #RelationshipGoals.
There are practical fundamentals that we miss when it comes to establishing our relationship with our Father. I walk you through step-by-step as you’re in your relationship building process with Jesus Christ. This week’s Spirit-Care Sunday I wanted to share one of my tips from the book. That being, “Don’t Let Sunday Be Your Only Time With God.” As always I pray my post will encourage you to self-reflect, and challenge you to come up higher. Blessings.

The Best Version of You

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. We have made it through the week. Glory be to God! I pray you’ve spent your time living intentionally and with purpose. One thing that I love about Yahweh is how He consistently reveals to me the many layers of our relationship. Just when I think I’ve learned all I can learn at this level He stretches me further. As I was sitting at my desk yesterday He told me, “The best version of you already exists. Stop covering it up with what you think is missing.” That part! Wow!

How many times have we talked ourselves out of greatness? How many times have we limited our ability, because we didn’t believe we had the right relationship to grow us. How many times have we suppressed what God placed in us to substitute it with something or someone we thought we were missing? I know I’ve done it time and time again. It reminds me of a concept that I live by when it comes to accomplishing goals. That being, “The only difference between successful and nonsuccessful people is the time they put into their goals.” God told me His people give up easily. Our followthrough is horrible. This is why we have such a hard time seeing He’s already made the best version of us. We won’t seek me long enough to meet that person.

I hear you, Lord. He wasn’t just talking about my siblings in Christ. He was talking about me. I can vividly pinpoint the times that I gave up on God, because of my lack of patience. Believing He must have changed His mind about what He promised me, because it didn’t show up when I thought it would. I didn’t understand He was taking me through my process to prepare me for the promise. I didn’t understand that had He given me the promise before I was ready for it I would mess it up once I had it.

I want to encourage you while you’re on your relationship journey to becoming a better you. EVERYTHING that you need is already within you. God didn’t forget to leave out the essential tools for your purpose. Don’t focus on the Mother or Father who was absent. The best version of you isn’t contingent upon their presence in your life. Never stop pursuing your purpose, because no one has invested in you. God said, “I’m your investor.” Don’t allow your past to conceal the best version of you any longer. GOD believes in what He made. He believes in the seed He planted in us, and we know what seeds do. They eventually grow up and out through the dirt. This is why I’m so closely attached to my brand, “In His Image.” If the word of God says, I’m made in His image. Why would God make something in His image, and not equip it to be great? He wouldn’t. We prevent ourselves from being great.

God wants to introduce you to who He created you to be. No longer can we afford to search for ourselves everywhere else except in God. Remember, the best version of you already exists.

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:22-24

Mindful Moment – You’re A Winner

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray you’ve been living intentionally and with purpose. For today’s “Mindful Moment” I want to ask you one simple question. What are you afraid of? Often times we count ourselves out before we even put forth the effort to try to accomplish the goal. We spend so much time worrying about failing that we forfeit the opportunity to actually win. In every situation, there’s an opportunity for a win. If you try something new and fail. It’s a WIN. Now you know what’s not for you. If you do something outside of your comfort zone. It’s a WIN. You’ve overcome fear. If your family or friends don’t support your vision. It’s a WIN. Your vision is too big for them to fathom. What’s the worst thing that can happen? You Winning? Don’t allow your doubt or fear to get in the way of your opportunity to WIN. I encourage you to face every moment with a winning mindset. No matter what the outcome is I guarantee you’ll get a win. Blessings.

The only shot missed is the one not taken.

Is Your Vision Limited?

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray you’ve spent the week living intentionally and with purpose. I was reading in the Gospels this morning. More specifically, John 1. Towards the end of the text, we find Jesus preparing to journey to Galilee. He calls, Philip to follow Him. Philip then goes to get Nathanael to whom he says, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” Skeptical, Nathanael replied, “Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Once they arrived the conversation went like this:

When Jesus saw Nathanael approaching, he said of him, “Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” “How do you know me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus answered, “I saw you while you were still under the fig tree before Philip called you.” Then Nathanael declared, “Rabbi, you are the Son of God; you are the king of Israel.” Jesus said, “You believe because I told you I saw you under the fig tree. You will see greater things than that.” He then added, “Very truly I tell you, you will see ‘heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending on’ the Son of Man.” John 1:47‭-‬51 NIV

After reading the text I immediately felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit asking me, “have you ever limited Gods ability?” I can remember times where all I wanted was to know that God was listening to me. Not understanding that He knows all, sees all, and has a plan for my life. Maybe like me, you’re someone who needed healing from their past, control of their finances, or peace. All circumstances that Jesus Christ sees.

The Holy Spirit continued to speak to me. Saying, “What we perceive as hard times doesn’t even qualify as an issue to God.” I can look back over my life and glimpses of the times where I was stuck in my hurt, pain, and loss of identity will pop up. They serve as a reminder that I spent so much of my time focused on how I saw myself and what I was going through when God already knew. Not only did He know me but in spite of my flaws, there were things he wanted to do in me that I couldn’t even begin to imagine.

I believe that sometimes when we spend so long desiring to be healed, financially stable, or just to have consistent peace that’s all we can see. We pray without ceasing for our circumstance to change, for our living situation to change, for our relationships to change. Then we find out that as we seek God more He changes less of those things and more of us.

So how does this all tie together with Nathanael and Jesus? Nathanael believes that Jesus is the Messiah because Jesus sees Him under a fig tree. Guess what? No matter what your prayer is or what you’ve been through Jesus sees you. Jesus then goes on to say, you believe I’m the Messiah because I told you I saw you under the tree? He may be saying to us, “You believe I’m the Messiah because you got that promotion?” That’s not even the beginning of what I can really do in your life. Just wait and see what I’m really capable of doing. Heaven will open up and angels will appear. The God that we pray to over relationships ending, doors closing, and our finances. Is the same God who will open the windows of Heaven. Heaven! While we’re worried about Him blessings us with a new car.

We have to stop asking God the perform a miracle on circumstances that He has equipped us to handle. Not everything we pray about requires fire from heaven. This is why He changes us instead of the circumstance because if He can change us then we can change the circumstance.

God sees you. He hears you. You are significant. So much so that he knows the number of hairs on your head. I challenge you today to change how you see Jesus. Understand there’s more to Him than just helping us which means there’s more to us. God has placed all these amazing talents and gifts inside of you. We have to allow our vision to be more like God. I encourage you to see yourself. Get a good look. Then realize that the God who opens Heaven Spirit lives within you. You’re capable of more than what you think. Stop limiting the capacity of the gift that is Christ Jesus. Remember, you ain’t seen nothing yet. Blessings.

Don’t Let Your Ego “Edge God Out”

Good Evening my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray you’ve spent the week living intentionally and with purpose. Can you believe January is already over? How are you guys doing with your 2019 goals? Have any adjustments happened with your vision for this year? They have for me. Lol. The overall vision is the same but the path in which it’ll happen has slightly changed. With thirty-three days in the books Yahweh has already slowed me down. Many of you know I finished my Vision Board a week or so before the new year. My goals cosisted of growth in my relationship with Christ, my marriage, my brand, this blog, and a list of other ventures. The more I attempted to reach these deadlines that I set for myself God was directing my attention to the journey that has to happen before I reach the destination. I guess you can say my EGO was getting the best of me.

I was listening to a podcast the other day and the guy referenced his EGO getting in his way. Now I’m not someone who relishes in my own accomplishments. All glory be to God for anything that he has strengthened me through or allowed me to obtain. As the podcast continued he mentions that a pastor told him that when we have a big EGO we are essentially “Edging God Out.” #MindBlown Had I Edged God Out in my bedazzled Vision Board and 2019 Goals? Couldn’t have I thought. I mean He is in the midst of every goal that I have for this year. The more I talked to Yahweh about it He began to reveal to me how my EGO was getting in the way.

Even though my vision was from God I didn’t account for the time needed to prepare for the vision. I started the process but had no expectation of the next steps which left me doing what I thought was necessary. I was leaning on my own understanding. Even for God’s glory. I found myself making all these plans that glorify God but in the same moment, I was edging him out of my preparation process. There is nothing in this world that we will do that doesn’t require seed, time and harvest. If God has planted a seed in you there is no skipping the “time” that is needed before the harvest.

In due season, what is planted inside of you will grow. Continue to allow God to cultivate you through the process.

Maybe Christ has given you a vision to write a book, start a credit repair business, an apparel shop, or become a life coach. There is absolutely no way to bypass the necessary journey that you have to take in order to flourish in your God-Given area. There are levels that require our participation as we are on our journey to becoming who we were created to be.

You can find preparation thorughout the bible,

“Put your outdoor work in order
    and get your fields ready;
    after that, build your house.”

Proverbs 24:26

So what’s the takeaway? Start. God has given you a vision for your life then start. Start the process and allow Yahweh to guide you through each and every step. God isn’t our phone a friend when we are stuck. His place is in front of us before we even make the step. I spoke about being in the process of writing my first book. I had the opportunity of attending a Master Class that focused on “Writing Your First Book & Self-Publishing.” I learned so much that I had no idea about prior to taking the class. The knowledge was necessary as I journey to becoming a first-time author. Don’t allow your EGO to Edge God Out of your preparation process. Blessings.

Create! Just remember to include Christ in the process.

Update: I went to a Christian Women’s Bible Study last night and it truly was a release for me. I really underestimated how much I missed being able to fellowship with other Women of God. Right at the end, they asked us to write down what we were hearing from God. He simply told me, “Go and be free TRULY Tiffany.” It was as if I still had a spec of my past self in my heart and in that moment Yahweh released me from it. Glory be to God.

Also, I just booked my first speaking engagement of the year. I am so honored and excited about the event. The subject, “There is Beauty in The Vision.” What a befitting topic. Details coming soon. Love you with the love of the Lord.

Mindful Morning

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray you’ve spent the week living intentionally and with purpose. I don’t normally write a blog this early in the morning but I’m so full with God’s Holy Spirit that I had to write about it. The past few days I’ve continued to hear and see the same message. All having to do with living out your purpose. I am someone who still works a 9-5 but is transitioning into becoming a full-time entrepreneur. I know that this year is my year of preparation for that transition. I attended a Masterclass Tuesday evening. “How To Write & Self-Publish A Book.” For those who don’t know I am currently working on my first book. It’s a starter guide on how to build a relationship with God. I’m completely honored for the vision that Christ has given me for the project and can’t wait till it comes out.

So what does this have to do with you? I’m glad you asked. God created every single one of us with a purpose. There is a special work in you that is instrumental to the Kingdom of God. It is our business to find out what that work is then complete it. There is someone waiting for you to write that book, start that business, become that Doctor, obtain that License. Whatever the call is on your life know that it is bigger than you. Don’t hold up someone’s deliverance because you refuse to be who you were created to be. I want us all to win. So go be great! After all, you were created to dwell in greatness.

Today, I challenge you to do more for your purpose. If you already know God’s purpose for your life then invest in it. Take a class, network with people in that field, supplement leisure time for more time in your calling. Find a balance but definitely increase your efforts if need be. I love you with the love of the Lord. I can’t wait to see the things you’ll accomplish for the Kingdom of God.

This morning bible study. Make sure you follow the site’s Instagram page.

It’s Manifestation Time

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray you’ve spent the week living intentionally and with purpose. I was at work yesterday and one of my patients told me that everyone she meets with the name Tiffany is so precious. She told me I was so blessed and how grateful she was for my care. It prompted me to look up the meaning of my name and it blew me away. Tiffany means “Manifestation of God.” I sent my Mother a text to ask her if she knew the meaning of my name and she said no. She told me that she just made a post on Facebook that said: “It’s Manifestation Time.” Wow. My Mother is a Pastor and Prophet. From God’s mouth to our ears. It’s confirmation that we’re entering a season of “Manifestation.”

I’ve often heard or watched videos that are entitled, “How to Manifest” this or that. I believe like most, manifesting something has a lot to do with speaking things into existence.

The Bible references this same thing by saying,

“The tongue has the power of life and death,
and those who love it will eat its fruit.”

Proverbs 18:21

What we speak we shall have. In the same effect, what we allow people to speak over us will also manifest if we allow it. I know first hand how what we speak transfers over into who we are or what we will have. If you’ve read some of my other blog post I touch on how I didn’t see myself how God saw me. I spoke death over who I was created to be because I didn’t have a clear vision of that woman. I allowed people in my past to speak death into me which ultimately led to this person who had no self-love or value. It wasn’t until I gave my life to God that I was able to see clearly how valuable I really was then I was able to reverse what had been spoken over me. God manifested his spirit in me and now my eyes can see.

The Word of God says,

“Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good.”

1 Corinthians 12:7

So when we talk about Manifesting something we need to acknowledge:

  1. The thing we’re speaking into existence.
  2. Is what we’re speaking into existence from God?
  3. Is what we’re speaking into existence fruitful or not? Recognize if it’s blessings or curses that are coming out of our mouth.
  4. Apply God’s Manifesting Power to what we’re speaking over our life.

If you are someone who has ever said, “I’ve been applying for a promotion for months now and it seems as everyone except me receives a promotion. I’ll never get promoted.” That’s speaking death over your ability to be promoted. Don’t you know that you’re a Kings kid. He is our provider. He qualifies the unqualified all the time. Our response should always be one that exemplifies prosperity because our Father is the embodiment

Look what our Father wants for us,

“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.”

3 John 1:2 KJV

On the other hand, if you’re someone who has always felt less than. Felt like where you are in life at this moment is the highest level you will ever be. Felt like no one would ever love you or you would do nothing but fail. You must first acknowledge:

  1. Who spoke those things over you? There had to have been an entry point for you to develop these thoughts about yourself. If you can’t remember then pray and ask God to show you where it started.
  2. Once you know where it came from then decree and declare that you are no longer in agreement with those curses. That they are far from you and are thrown into the sea of nothingness. They will never return upon you. They have no home in you anymore. Decree that every curse spoken over your life is void and expired and no longer lays dormant in your life. You are free, In Jesus Name, Amen.
  3. Walk in your freedom.

Understand that manifesting something in your life is tied to your ability to speak something over your life then believing God will provide what you speak. If He has promised you something then you shall have it. Don’t find it odd or random that you’ve always dreamed of owning a business, being an Author, or psalmist. Those things were planted in you and in due season they will blossom. Don’t forget what God promised you because “It’s Manifestation Time.” Blessings.

Prayer of Manifestation

In the name of Jesus, we come to you right now Father thanking you for your Manifesting Power. You alone God manifested yourself in the flesh and sacrificed your one and only son for us so that we may have life. With that same power, you’ve given us access to your marvelous works. So, Lord, we speak your Manifesting Power over our God-Given Purpose. That it will rise up, drip with your anointing, and accomplish what it was created to do. We speak your Manifesting Power into our marriages, relationships, friendships, finances, health, and businesses. They are generationally prosperous in the name of Jesus. We speak your Manifesting Power over our minds. That the Word of God will have complete dominion over every thought, notion, concept, reasoning, and become the author of our knowledge, understanding, and wisdom. We speak your Manifesting Power over our children and their children and our lineage. That generational curses are broken indefinitely. That our bloodlines will raise a standard for the Kingdom of God. Father, we speak your Manifesting Power over attacks of the enemy. They will NOT prosper, they will NOT hold us captive, they will NOT torment us, they will NOT drag us into sin, they will NOT be hidden, they will NOT conquer us, and they will NOT manifest in the Name of Jesus. We bind every curse that has been spoken over our lives, Father. We no longer identify with those who cursed our names. Those people and spirits no longer find placement in our life. Lord, we decree and declare that with your Manifesting Power we are who you say we are. We will do what you say we can do. We have what you say we can have. Thank you,   Lord, for your Manifesting Power. In Jesus name, Amen.

Don’t limit God’s ability. His Manifestation Power expands in ways you can never imagine. ~T.Nolan

Let’s Get Healthy

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray you spent the week living intentionally and with purpose. I’ve been waiting to post this particular blog as I was still getting clarity from the Lord. Being healthy is interpreted in a wide range of areas. Most of the post on Mindful of Me Moments speak to our inner self. Enabling us to grow in our ability to self-care and self-love. Today I want to touch on being physically healthy.

The word of God says,

“Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.”

1 Corinthians 3:16-17

I don’t believe this verse solely pertains to our hearts and minds. I believe it also speaks to our physical health. Roughly a year ago I was diagnosed with High Blood Pressure. I was placed on medicine to aid in controlling it, but I would still find it to be high. Alongside HBP my back and knees cause me pain. My feet swell and I lose my breath relatively fast. A few years ago I lost 100 pounds through working out and dieting. Since then I’ve gained that weight back. My lack of self-control and discipline is the result of my current state.

So when Yeshua started to deal with me about self-care, self-love, self-control, and discipline. My physical health was apart of the conversation. He asked me, “Do you want your health to be the thing that hinders you?” Hinder you from having the energy to live out the purpose I’ve given you. Hinder you from enjoying activities with your husband. Hinder you from traveling. All of these different scenarios were laid before me and it made me make a decision. Did I want to spend another year, month, week, or day battling with unhealthy lifestyle choices? No, I didn’t. As if it couldn’t get any clearer God spoke to me in a dream about my Physical, Mental, and Spiritual Health. So even if I didn’t say yes to me; I was going to say yes to His instructions.

This weekend I made a plan. I wrote the plan down. I set goals with dates attached to them. Ultimately, I know how to lose weight, I know how to eat healthily. What I needed help with was my ability to be consistent. I heard Bishop TD Jakes say,

“Being RELENTLESS will get you there. Being CONSISTENT will keep you there. Being GRATEFUL will increase what’s there.”

I know how to be relentless. It was consistency and gratefulness that I needed help with. I started to think about my triggers. (See Check Yourself Post which speaks about identifying your triggers.) Stress was a trigger for me and my coping mechanism was food. I know so many people that find comfort in food. But how many of you know when we place anything in the place of God it hinders us? My self -care journey thus far has transformed my thought process and repositioned what was poorly positioned. Now when I feel stress coming my way I pray to Jesus about it first. The Word of God tells us,

Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”

 Philippians 4:6-7

Situations didn’t have to stress me out. I allowed them to stress me out. I didn’t have to make poor health decisions to cope. I chose to make poor health decisions in the absence of Christ. Understand that the outcome will always be poor in the absence of Christ. Our physical health is just as important as our purpose, our relationships, our level of influence, and our happiness. You feel better when you eat and workout. You look better. You perform better. We can’t be content with the Holy Spirit living in any condition. He wants our mind, our spirit, our thoughts, our will, and our bodies to be healthy by God’s standard.

The Lord told me in a dream over the weekend that He wanted me to spend the next 365 days being disciplined. Specifically, in the areas that I lacked discipline. If I did what He instructed me to do then He would BLOW MY MIND. When God tells you something you better believe Him. I mean He doesn’t lie so………….

I challenge you to become disciplined in the areas that you lack discipline. It’s easy to write about our areas of strength, but what about the weak areas? What do you need to be more disciplined in? Remember, God will help you be consistent. He will increase you in that thing once He sees you are grateful. Don’t start at being relentless then fade away. God wants you to follow-through. Put Him first in all you do and He’ll see you through what you can’t see. Blessings.

Mid-Week Check-In

Good Morning my brothers and sisters in Christ. As always I pray you’ve spent the beginning of the week living intentionally and with purpose. I wanted to pop in mid-work week to check-in with you all. We haven’t done a “Self-Check” in a while. If you’re new to my blog take a moment to reference my previous post about performing a spirit self-check here: Check Yourself Post

How are you feeling? What’s going in your world? What are your priorities looking like? The last few days Yeshua has shown me where He needs to be positioned in my life. It’s so easy to get wrapped up in work, family, school, and ministry. Even if we are operating in those avenues under the direction of the Lord it doesn’t replace the fact that He should always be our first priority. I’m learning that my hour long morning bible study and journal time is no longer sufficient for my relationship with Christ. It’s become more than just spending time in His word. I’m now desiring to spend time talking to Him separate from my personal bible study. He is showing me that there are levels of intimacy with Him, and I’m approaching a new level.

My mid-week check-in is peaceful and productive. My priorities are on par with Christ and are about to shift once again. I’m learning the various areas that I can worship Yeshua throughout my day. I’m understanding that spending time in His word is only one way of being intimate with Him. Lastly, I’m transitioning into having a daily designated time when I can just talk with Him.

I encourage you to take a moment to do a Self-Check. Examine where you are right now. What is getting your attention? What is your mind focused on? What are you making time for? Have you taken time out of your to-do list to place Jesus at the top? Remember, every answer you’re looking for God already has; check-in with Him regularly. Blessings.

“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves. Do you not realize that Christ Jesus is in you—unless, of course, you fail the test? And I trust that you will discover that we have not failed the test.  Now we pray to God that you will not do anything wrong—not so that people will see that we have stood the test but so that you will do what is right even though we may seem to have failed. For we cannot do anything against the truth, but only for the truth. We are glad whenever we are weak but you are strong; and our prayer is that you may be fully restored. This is why I write these things when I am absent, that when I come I may not have to be harsh in my use of authority—the authority the Lord gave me for building you up, not for tearing you down.”

2 Corinthians 13: 5-10

My Perpetual State of Worship

I heard the Lord say, “Perpetual State of Worship” as I was in worship this morning. Perpetual means never ending, everlasting, eternal, undying. I know you’re wondering how can I worship God all day? Worship isn’t just an intimate moment with our Father where we are crying out to Him during prayer. We worship Him in our obedience to His word. We worship Him when we follow His directions. We worship Him when we repent for our sins and turn from them. We worship Him by putting Him first in our lives.

This morning in my prayer and study time He was speaking to me while simultaneously giving me a vision. He began to show me the beauty inside of me. This beauty was my spirit blossoming in Him.  I’ve recorded an audio that I’ve placed at the bottom of this post. It’s me talking about my worship experience with Christ. As always I pray that it causes you to reflect and examine yourself. Allow God to become your first priority, because you’re His priority. Blessings!

This week’s Moment Of Mindfulness task is to develop a perpetual state of worship for Jesus Christ.

What Are You Committed To?

Thanks for stopping by this week’s Self-Care Sunday Post. Before you read press play and take a listen.

In May of this year, Yeshua told me that I needed to change my priorities and commitments. He gave me a list in the following order of importance:

  1. My relationship with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Understanding that at the root of me you would now find the presence of God.
  2. My covenant with my husband. Knowing that we made the biggest commitment to each either when we chose to commit to God.
  3. My level of influence in the Kingdom. Accepting that I will not be the Woman of God who keeps God’s glory to herself. I have an obligation in my position to draw all men and woman to our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

These three things were the priorities God gave me. He told me that in order to thrive in these relationships I needed to learn how to commit to them. I needed to become disciplined in order to invest time and be consistent with my commitments. He gave me Matthew 7: 7-8 as my foundation for this journey. The text which reads,

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.  For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.”

This scripture is the cause and effect when we are committed to God. Yeshua told me that if I were to become disciplined and consistent in my relationship with Him that I would find everything that He has for me. Needless to say, I did just as He instructed me to do.

Fast Forward six months and so much has changed in my life. Just last week as I was in morning prayer and Bible study I heard the Lord say, “He is adjusting my values and my list of importance has now changed.”  Immediately following this I heard a pastor say, “the enemy attacks what you value the most. He does it in efforts to get to our Faith in God.” WOW! It made me think about all the things that I valued above my relationship with God. The things that were first prior to the last six months of my life. It made me reflect on how the enemy attacked those things and those relationships. How those attacks affected my Faith in God. I received so much revelation about commitment this week. I came into the understanding that when God is the person you value the most above everything else in your life; the enemy can’t attack that. He can attack our finances, our marriage, our jobs, our business, our faith, but HE CAN’T ATTACK GOD. So if the thing that I value the most is the thing the enemy can’t get too; why wouldn’t I commit to that before anything else?

What have you valued more than the Lord? Is it social media, relationships, money, appearance, gossip, people, recreational activities? Yeshua wants the first fruits from us. That’s our best. What have you been giving your best too over God? Get your pen and paper. Let’s write it down. Now that you have your list let me walk you through a few definitions before I share how I became committed.

  • Self-Discipline is the ability to control one’s feelings and overcome one’s weakness; the ability to pursue what one thinks is right despite temptations to abandon it.
  • Value is the importance, worth, or usefulness of something.
  • Consistent is unchanging in nature, standard, or effect over time.
  • Commitment is the willingness to give your time and energy to something you believe in, or a promise, or firm decision to do something.

One thing that I learned about self-discipline is that it’s a decision. We have to decide if our weaknesses will continue to control us or will we control our weaknesses? I understood that I can only find the strength to become self-disciplined in Yeshua. So the base of my success was contingent upon my commitment to God. Here’s how I went from putting everything and everyone before God. To putting Him first and completely altering my life.

  1. I was tired of the trauma from my past spilling over into every area of my life. My past was prevalent in my now, and I didn’t want to live with it anymore. So I made a decision to seek God wholeheartedly. It caused me to expose areas that I was trying to hide, but in the end, God fixed what was broken. It was hard but His grace and mercy towards me reigned. Now my life, marriage, and my level of influence have forever changed.
  2. I changed my priorities. If I was going to put God first then that looked like something. Every morning I get up at 4am to spend an hour in prayer and Bible study. I do this seven days a week. Throughout my day I find moments to give God praise. I pray, read the word, listen to sermons, and journal often. I had to edit what I was allowing my ears to hear, my eyes to see, and my mind to think. I invested time with the Father before I invested time in anything or anyone else. Doing these things showed me how to form a habit of discipline, consistency, and commitment. Understand that if you can become disciplined and consistent in your relationship with Yeshua then you can become disciplined and consistent in anything.
  3. I got comfortable with the fact that as I became committed to God I was going to fall out of agreement with things and people. I gave up some “friendships” when I became committing to God. My interest changed, my thought process changed, my values changed. Some of those old relationships were no longer conducive to who I was becoming in Christ. To be honest, the more I grew the more I saw I didn’t really like certain things that I thought I did at one point.
  4. I didn’t stop when things got tough. This journey is a life-long journey. Submitting to Yeshua is something that you have to know that you will be doing the rest of your life. In doing so, every illegal spirit that has been lying dormant in your life will come up and come out. You’ll have to revisit some hurtful moments, but God is a healer. You’ll have to let some people go, but He’s a friend. You’ll have to relinquish your comfort, but He’s a great comforter. You’ll have to put all your trust in Him, but He’s faithful. When you think you’re losing everything on your journey you’re really gaining more than you could imagine.

To sum it all up I had to get tired of living an unpurposeful life, I had to change my priorities, I had to give up my life so that I could gain life, and I didn’t give up my pursuit of growing in my relationship with Yeshua when things became tough.

If your priorities are out of order and you lack commitment to Christ I challenge you to take a stand for yourself. Lack of self-discipline and commitment is a lack of self-care. Don’t you know that God desires to take care of you and show you how to take care of yourself? Don’t spend another day living life with no structure. You will only find transformation in your ability to commit to the Father. Once you do then you’ll truly be able to tap into everything that God has for you. Blessings.

Am I in Proper Position?

Good Evening my brothers and sisters in Christ. I pray that you’ve spent the week living intentionally and with purpose. As we continually grow in our knowledge of self-care I’m learning the importance of being in proper position. I know that our understanding of proper positioning may have been planted in us as children. Sometimes our life experiences form our belief in the way we think, who we are, and what we should be doing. Ultimately, we only find proper positioning in Christ. Self-Care is all about ensuring that you are intentional about yourself in a way that allows you to function at your highest capacity. If you’re practicing good self-care, then you should be in proper position in every area of your life. I want to spend this time walking you through my own experience in getting into proper position. My prayer is that it will provide insight to you while you are yet on your journey to being positioned properly.

So often we think the enemy is attacking us. Dealing with infertility for several years now. I often felt as if he was attacking my body to prevent me from having children. As I grow in God; He continues to give me understanding regarding the birthing process. I was in worship this morning I heard God say, “The attack on your body isn’t an attack. It’s your spiritual incubation period.” Yeshua told me that He was using this time to extinguish generational curses from my lineage so that I can carry out the healed legacy that my Mother is currently birthing.”

Incubation is the maintenance of an infant, especially a premature infant, in an environment of controlled temperature, humidity, and oxygen concentration to provide optimal conditions for growth and development. Carry means to support and move from one place to another; to support the weight of.

Yeshua reveals to me daily something new about my Mother. She is the one person in my family who He ordained to shift the trajectory of our legacy. The weight of her purpose is massive. It’s one that she has carried solo for a long time. As I am yet in alignment with Yeshua He is showing me the proper positioning to carry out the vision He gave her for our lineage. A vision that is free from generational curses, sexual immorality, abuse, perversion, incest, molestation, debt, inconsistency, self-sabotaging, disobedience, witchcraft, pride, jealousy, and rebellion. He told me that I couldn’t be in any kind of condition while supporting the weight of the vision. He told me if He had allowed me to birth children when I wanted to I would have undone years of intercessory prayers that went forth for our bloodline.

Culturally we spend so much time worrying about the natural births that we ignore that they should first be cultivated in the spirit. If we spent more time focusing on spiritual incubation we would be in a proper position to produce in a season that has optimal conditions for growth and development. The word of God says,

“For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.”
Ecclesiastes 3:1-2

You may be at a point in your life where you feel out of position. If you are unsettled in your mind, relationships, finances, or purpose then you’re probably not in proper position. To shift your life into proper positioning there are a few things you should be meditating on and practicing.

  1. Understand that this life is not your own. God created us all in His image and has placed purpose on the inside of us. Allow Him to reveal your purpose so that you are truly living intentionally and not just existing.
  2. Repent for the things that you’ve done that are not pleasing to Him then turn from those behaviors. God examines our hearts. He wants us to know that with His help we can overcome our past and choose to no longer live without Him again.
  3. Realize that if you’ve made plans, decisions, or moves without the guidance from God then you have placed yourself out of proper position. Once you’ve realized this you have to allow the Holy Spirit to retrain your thought process.
  4. Understand you will never reach the abundance of blessings that Yeshua has for you if you’re choosing to live a life that is disobedient to Him. Disobedience to the Word of God limits and distracts you from reaching blessings, purpose, healing, deliverance, protection, discernment, knowledge, understanding, and wisdom.
  5. Get comfortable with God’s timing. You don’t get to tell God what your timeline is for your life. Your life is already written. He has already formed it. You must get in alignment with His already written timeline.
  6. Proper Position is a lifestyle that requires you to forever be submissive to Yeshua. Whatever you’re looking for you will ONLY find in God. If you choose to live life not submitting to God and His word you will never be in proper position.
  7. Put a value on your relationship with God. This is going to be key from this moment forward. So many of us never valued the importance of having a relationship with Yeshua. We valued our relationships with other people. Parents, boyfriends/girlfriends, husbands/wives, children, money, sex. Everything and everyone except the one who knows and has everything that you will ever need. You must make Him number 1 if you’re going to shift your position.

Self-care and proper positioning go hand in hand. Both things must be directed by the Lord. They both place you in position to operate during the most opportune times. They both give your life meaning. Lastly, they both provide you with ways to live intentionally and with purpose.

I challenge you today to examine your life and pinpoint every plan, decision, and move you’ve made without consulting God. Get a list going. After you’ve completed your list pray and ask Yeshua to reveal to you the effects those decisions had on your life. Take your time. This is an intimate moment between you and the Father. He begins to show you the effects your decisions have had on your life, repent. The single most important relationship you will ever have is your relationship with Yeshua. It’s also the only relationship that exposes you to purpose. Blessings.

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.  If you do not remain in me, you are like a branch that is thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned. If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. This is to my Father’s glory, that you bear much fruit, showing yourselves to be my disciples.”

James 15: 5-8

Identity

Good afternoon my siblings in Christ. I pray you all have been living intentionally and with purpose. I wanted to put a pin in my current journey and share what’s been going on. I pray you are able to see yourself through my experiences and it encourages you to challenge yourself as you are on your journey to being the best you possible.

IDENTITY! Who are you? This question is one that I’ve been asked more than once in my life. I’m a lot of things. A wife, daughter, sister, friend, college grad, business owner, employee, writer. I am all of these things however these are titles. Though true they don’t define me nor do they give a depiction of who I am. I’m a wife because my husband married me. I’m a daughter because my parents conceived then birthed me. I’m a sister because my parents had additional children. I’m a friend because I’ve invested my time in relationships. I’m a college graduate because I completed school. You get the point, lol. All these things were inherited or obtained through my work ethic.

While on this journey to self-love and self-care you will find yourself at this exact point. The point at which you are so distant from your former self that you no longer recognize who you are. Your past no longer defines you. I’m a survivor of domestic violence. Yeshua protected and graced me to make it through an abusive first marriage. I’m not ashamed of it anymore. I’m healed from it now. I’ve forgiven him and myself. It’s a part of my testimony, but it is not my identity. Identity is defined as the distinguishing character or personality of an individual. It is no longer my character to operate like someone who was abused. On the flip slide, I survived it, and I have been a survivor the majority of my life. So much so that I had to learn how to be a submissive wife to my current husband. So being a survivor isn’t my identity either. So again I ask, “Who are you?”

If you find yourself in this place along your journey. The place that closes a door and opens a new one. Don’t freak out! Lol. It’s perfectly fine that you don’t recognize yourself now that you’ve given your life to God. It’s going to take some time to discover the newness of you. It’s fine to re-evaluate your relationships and friendships at this point. You may even feel the need to step away from some relationships while you’re discovering the new you. If so, it’s ok to do that unless you’re married. (Side note: It is not ok to step away from your marriage, because you’re finding yourself.) I have some people that I’ve considered friends for over a decade and am now at a place that I’ve realized that I don’t know who they are in their current life. As adults who have families, I couldn’t even tell you anything about them and vice versa. It made me think that if our only connection is the past, and I’m no longer living in the past then maybe we don’t have the relationship that we once did. When God comes into your life you fall out of agreement with things and people. Somethings or some people will no longer be familiar to you. I’m not saying to dump all your friends, but take the time to learn who you are as this new man or woman in Christ. Once you’re established in that then seek Him about your relationships.

Fully giving myself to God has me in a place where I don’t recognize who I am since I’ve become a new creature in Him. I know my past and how He has healed me from it. I know how He protected me from my bad decisions and forgave me. Every trait, idea, characteristic, mannerism, and response were wiped away to make room for God’s presence when I gave my life up to live for Him. So what worked for me in the past no longer works for me as a Woman of God. Those things and some people no longer identify with me.

WHO AM I?

I AM A CHILD OF GOD! That I know for sure. As I grow in Him I am learning every day the identity in which He ordained for me. How I think, my character, my morals, and values are all provided by Him not by what I was taught or learned from others. I’m no longer pressed about figuring it all out. I find peace in the fact that I’m intentionally pursuing the one who has already figured it all out for me. Life is no longer about what I have been through, what decisions I made, what others thought about me or what I thought about myself. Life is about discovering the richness of Yeshua. Learning what He had in mind when He created me. Being intentional about loving myself. Thriving in the relationships He established for me. Growing my spirit, spreading the Word of God, and fulfilling my purpose. The more I seek Him the more I find out who I am.

I challenge you to re-evaluate who you are. Do you even know? If not, are you taking the necessary steps to grow in God so that He can reveal it to you? Today is a great day to start if you haven’t already done so. Don’t spend another year, month, week, hour or second allowing your titles to define who you are. Blessings.

“What marvelous love the Father has extended to us! Just look at it—we’re called children of God! That’s who we really are. But that’s also why the world doesn’t recognize us or take us seriously, because it has no idea who He is or what He’s up to.”

“But friends, that’s exactly who we are: children of God. And that’s only the beginning. Who knows how we’ll end up! What we know is that when Christ is openly revealed, we’ll see Him—and in seeing Him, become like Him. All of us who look forward to his Coming stay ready, with the glistening purity of Jesus’ life as a model for our own.”
